[ 研究概要 ] Since ancient times, mushrooms have been incorporated in our lives not only as food but also as preventative and ameliorative agents for various lifestyle illnesses and illness related to aging. In particular, the development of anti-cancer agents from mushrooms was a hot topic in the past, focusing on their immunological activation effects. With the advent of a super-aging society, research on the functions of mushrooms is once more coming to the fore but most of the active substances and mechanisms of activity are still unclear. In this research topic, we plan to focus on a specific mushroom (for example, Ganoderma lucidum) and plan to extract their functional substances and clarify their mechanisms of action, and after checking their effect on humans, aim to seek approval for their use as a special health food.
