[ 研究概要 ] It is important to obtain sufficient individual gear accuracy and smooth meshing of the teeth for gear transmissions. Gear transmission errors become some sources of excitation force, which causes vibration and noise emission from a gearbox. To assess the gear transmission errors accurately under load, it is necessary to investigate the relation among tooth deflections, tooth surface topography and transmission errors in detail. For that purpose, a single flank gear-testing machine with two rotary encoders is developed and high precision measurement and analysis of transmission errors of gear pairs under load are achieved. The developed measurement system has enough accuracy of up to 0.1 arc-sec. resolution and has an excellent repeatability to investigate transmission errors of spur and helical gears. Concrete measured transmission error curves are compared with simulation results under loading conditions by use of our simulation programs of tooth contact analysis.
