[ 研究概要 ] Low temperature fuel cell and water electrolysis are thought to be key technologies in next hydrogen world. In these electrochemical devices, the water production with electricity generation, or the gas formation by electricity progress. However, liquid water and gas bubble are frequently choked in the devices; they disturb the electrochemical process, resulting to make performance worse.
We try to understand the gas/liquid behavior in the electrochemical devises, based on in-situ measurement and numerical simulation which are newly developed by our team. These successive efforts leads higher performance of the devices. In addition, we experimentally investigate the hydrogen solubility for water, concerning for high-pressure water electrolysis.
